While several countries have agreed to “transition away from fossil fuels,” major developed and developing countries are also escalating their production and consumption of fossil fuels. This panel examines the geopolitical and economic factors that are propelling fossil fuel investments and the policy measures which may regulate fossil fuel production and consumption.
